Community Involvement
Mooresville Physical Therapy Office
The following are several community organizations with which we have had the pleasure of working with. Stay tuned for more links!
We are proud to partner with KPAC Gymnastics, where we work closely with high level coaches and gymnasts to provide an exceptional place to train and work.
Cool Breeze has graciously donated 3 bike trainers to the Mooresville Indoor Soccer Complex in order to provide more options for health and wellness to the members and guests of the facility. Please be sure to visit their website and their store off I-77 Exit 33.
Statesville Chamber of Commerce
We have been proud members of the Statesville Chamber of Commerce since October 2008. The Chamber of Commerce has presented numerous opportunities and networking events to help AthElite establish a role as a health and wellness resource in the area. Since our induction, Amanda Beard has played an important role as a liaison and representative for AthElite in the Statesville Community. Her involvement as Vice President of Membership and a member of the Education Committee has opened doors to work with some of the most talented youth and successful business people. AthElite has participated largely in the Youth Leadership Program, Business After Hours Events, Friday After 5, Dancing With the Stars, and numerous projects to help promote the Chamber and its Members.
The Statesville Owls represent athletics and community involvement. Two attributes AthElite truly supports and promotes. We have been privileged to partner with the Statesville Owls since their reintroduction in 2010. We provide sport performance training and physical therapy to the players during their 2 month season. We also participate in game day activities and events promoting health, wellness and youth participation at the Home Games.
Since the summer of 2010, AthElite has partnered with the Youth Program at Landmark Church of God to develop the Get Fit program for children 1stthrough 5thgrade. This 5 week program teaches young children the importance of incorporating exercise, play, proper nutrition and sportsmanship into their lives. We provide a weekly take home lesson and challenge to take home to their families and spend an hour each week playing physically challenging games that highlight different aspects of fitness such as endurance, strength, flexibility and balance. Because this is a youth group program our health lessons are paired with a teaching from the bible taught by the youth leaders.
Since 2010 AthElite has been a proud sponsor and team for Relay for Life Statesville. We specifically sponsor the Kids Walk. Every year children of Iredell County raise money for The American Cancer Society and the Kids Walk is the time to highlight their efforts. Before the Lap lead by the children begins, AthElite provides a time for them to gather and play games! Then we walk and run with all the kids until they all finish their lap of success! This past year at the 2011 Relay for life, AthElite put together a strong team and joined in the friendly competition of the “pack the track.” With 7 members running and walking from 12-6 am we placed 3rdamong large teams of 20-30 members. We were also awarded 1stPlace in “The Spirit of Relay!” We look forward to participating in this amazing event for years to come and help fight the battle of cancer.
